Job Description

Nurses are needed in NHS and private nursing homes in the United Kingdom. Nursing in the UK allows you to advance in various areas of healthcare. All of this can help you obtain new experiences, learn new skills, and design your own career path. 

 

We will assist you with every stage of the process, from the original application to finishing your Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration and relocating you and your family to the UK.

What are the eligibility requirements?

✓ Nursing Degree or Nursing Diploma (at least 3 years).
✓ Minimum 1 year of clinical work experience in a Sri Lankan Government hospital.
✓ Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing).
✓ Sri Lanka Nursing Council or Sri Lanka Medical Council Registration.
✓ Valid Passport.
✓ Police Report.

Step 01

After you submit your CV and qualification documentation to us, we will examine them and notify you of the next steps to take. You must Register with the CV.


Step 03
Complete IELTS + CBT Exams To work as a nurse in the United Kingdom, you must have a minimum level of English as specified by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). There are two alternatives in the United Kingdom, Academic IELTS or OET To proceed, you must first complete one of the two language prerequisites.


IELTS Requirement
• The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a global testing system used to measure an applicant’s competency in the English language.
• The IELTS is divided into four sections: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• You must complete all four categories with a total score of 7 in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.
(Writing 6.5 is allowed).

OET Requirement
• The Occupational English Test [OET] is a type of English language assessment that is commonly used by
healthcare professionals, particularly nurses.
• Professionals who want to study, work, or relocate to a specific country can use OET as proof of their English language proficiency.
• You must pass all four categories of reading, writing, speaking, and listening with a minimum of B. (Writing
C+ is OK.)

Step 04
Register with the NMC
• In the United Kingdom, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the professional regulator for nurses.
• To become a registered nurse in the United Kingdom, you must complete the NHS employer induction programme as well as the OSCE within three months of your arrival. Then you are ready to register with the NMC as a nurse.
• To continue the process, you must first register on the NMC website. After you have completed the registration process, you must schedule your CBT test.

Step 05
Complete CBT Exam

The test of competence (ToC) is a two-part exam that tests the key professional knowledge, abilities, and attitudes required for safe and effective nursing practice in the United Kingdom. There are two parts to finish.

1. The first part of the Test of Competence 2021 is a computer-based test known as the CBT.
2. Part one of the Test of Competence 2021 is a practical test known as OSCE.
Before you may participate in the interviews, you must complete the Part 1 CBT test. They will update your test results within 48 hours after you complete the CBT test.
